We started Friday morning with training. I liked the way both the offerings gave us the chance to consider and explore ourselves in that moment, at the same time as being in/with the group and the space.
Adele Chapman led us in a walking meditation: a time to consider our bodies and movement, feel where we were and choose to become aware of our feelings and state of mind. It was gentle and twenty minutes flew by. That gently sloping floor added its own distinct flavour to the walking. From this silence – except for stepping – Jade Valour took us into a vocal relaxation. Hearing the breath and sending voice through our bodies and being aware of that moment when breath becomes voice.
Getting in touch with ourselves, hearing ourselves, taking care of ourselves in such a focused way… stepping together, making sound together – it was a grand way to start the day. Thanks Adele and Jade.
